the art and bgs and dedication to a painterly setting are really stunning. the characters are both very interesting and i want to know more about the both of them. it comes through as a tragic, mournful case of yuri rather than toxic, but i like that, and it is bittersweet in how it ends. thank you for creating this <3
thank you for your kind words! I was actually very unsure with myself is this story/what I ended up writing could count as "toxic" but I hope I swinged hard enough for some people... Words I'll have to save for my post mortem. Once again tysm for playing!!
To see Krissy finally open up and realize how much Chasity meant to her as the only person who was truly kind to her after so many years, just for circumstance to separate the two really pulled my heartstrings. I can only hope that now that she isn't so cold and walled off, Krissy can find someone to be happy with again.
I'd certainly like to learn more of Chasity, but I do get that us not knowing much of her is part of Krissy's instinct to distance herself from people.
That paired with the art, with its vivid colors and rich paint/print textures, made for such a tragically beautiful novel...
Dang that was sad; I really loved the thick painterly style of the art and how the text sort of blurred your vision of the cgs like it was a passing dream.
This was beautiful! The sense of loneliness and dependence it evoked was suffocating, and your art was just gorgeous. The textures and colors both so evocative and inspiring, I wish there was a gallery I could browse. I’d love to see Kristel’s ability to cope with the ending explored further some day!
THANK YOU!!! I'm glad you picked up the themes of isolation from the story... It was indeed intended to be very smothering. I have thought of hypotheticals where Kristal manages to move on... Imagine the rhythm heaven fever remix 9 song basically.
Also tysm about the art!!! I'm honored cause honestly from my POV I was worried it was too "sloppy" but I'm glad people like it stylistically :-].
your art is evocative and pleasant and/or distressing to look at! i think it was really effective at conveying Kristel's inner turbulence. as much as i feel for her (also an only child of a single parent who was forced to grow up immediately, lol), i can't help but feel worst of all for Chasity... who will care for her? ;(

As an only child I deeply relate to growing up lonely and taking little interest on other kids your own age, as you perceive yourself as to have maybe more in common with the adults you know. Turning into an adultified kid that cannot be perceived by others with the same seriousness. Also relate to the feeling of having to be the adult/bigger person/mature one at the same time that you feel like helpless victim with no outer comfort.
Your art is beautiful and full of personality, I honestly missed Chasity the next day too ToT and felt so compelled to know more about her!
